When science meets local knowledge, and innovation drives change

Who We Are:

Apacheta began as a diverse group of independent consultants, united by a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation. With expertise across geoinformatics, biology, ecology, agronomy, economics, and land management, we work at the intersection of science, technology, and participatory collaboration. We are dedicated to creating fit-for-purpose solutions that enable governments, organizations, and communities to sustainably manage natural and productive ecosystems. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies like GIS, remote sensing, and Earth Observation (EO) data, we help our partners make informed decisions that drive positive environmental outcomes.

Our Purpose and Motivation:

We believe that collaboration and knowledge sharing drive sustainable land management to achieve climate resilience, and biodiversity conservation. We aim to develop innovative strategies and tools together with the people at the centre of these challenges. By supporting countries in monitoring and reporting key sustainability indicators, developing decision-support systems, and co-creating methods tailored to local contexts, we help build a future where people and ecosystems can thrive together. Every project we take on is an opportunity to create a lasting impact by blending scientific rigour with practical, on-the-ground solutions.

Who We Serve:

Our multidisciplinary approach has served Private and Public sector partners, such as governments, academic institutions, and International NGOs. Apacheta has the flexibility to function as a private sector consulting firm and through  Apacheta Foundation we can work on projects on a non-profit basis. We are very comfortable working with any type of organization across topics from agriculture, forestry, and fisheries to land use planning and the overlapping themes of Climate Change and Biodiversity.
