Regional PRAIS Inception Workshop in CSIDS

Pioneering SIDS-Driven Data

Apacheta is proud to have contributed to the Regional PRAIS Capacity-Building Workshop held in Bridgetown, Barbados, organized by the Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Land Management (PISLM) in collaboration with the Government of Barbados.

Our CEO, Dr. Cesar García, facilitated the sessions on advanced geospatial applications that will support Caribbean countries in monitoring land degradation, preparing their 2026 UNCCD PRAIS reports, and advancing Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) commitments

The workshop brought together UNCCD national focal points and technical officers from across the Caribbean SIDS, strengthening technical capacity, fostering regional cooperation, and ensuring countries are better equipped to respond to the challenges of land degradation, climate change, and resilience-building.

We are honored to support PISLM’s RAC/NAT Facility in delivering high-resolution geospatial data and innovative solutions that will help all Global SIDS in their reporting and monitoring efforts.

🤝 Together with our partners, Apacheta remains committed to advancing integrated land management, resilience, and sustainability in the Caribbean and beyond.
